The Market Street Mission is an evangelical ministry to the whole person, providing for the spiritual, emotional and physical needs of homeless, indigent, troubled and alcoholic and/or drug addicted people. The Mission serves the "street people" by sharing Christ's love with them and providing a well-rounded social and spiritual program in a "home-like" environment. The main thrust of this Christ-centered program is residential rehabilitation and discipleship with a structured day starting with chapel service, and including Bible study, personal and group counseling, alcohol/drug education and work therapy.

Market Street Mission seeks to meet the critical needs of the homeless and poor through their emergency services program. They provide thousands of meals to men, women and children onsite every year, and thousands of nights of shelter to men experiencing homelessness. They also provide grocery boxes, vouchers for clothing and furniture, and access to showers for people in need. $2.82 provides one nourishing meal to a member of our community, and $29.97 provides one night of safe shelter.
The Mission’s residential “Life Change Recovery” program spans 8 to 12 months and graduates as many as 60 men each year. Residents participate in weekly individual and group counseling sessions, various types of classroom instruction, computer directed education, daily work therapy, daily chapel services and weekly AA and NA meetings. Upon graduation, continued support and training are offered to graduates as their needs require. All services are free to participants and paid for by donations.
