Veritas Church of Cedar Rapids

Ministry Description
Veritas Church is an evangelical, Bible-teaching church located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, with a mission to raise up mature disciples of Jesus Christ who worship God, are transformed by His Word, and live sent into the world. Founded in 2009, Veritas exists to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ and equip believers to engage in the mission of God in everyday life.

Our ministry is centered on the faithful teaching of Scripture and the proclamation of the gospel through weekly worship gatherings, expository preaching, and the regular celebration of the ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s Supper. We emphasize the authority of God’s Word, the necessity of personal faith in Jesus Christ, and the transforming work of the Holy Spirit in the lives of believers.

Discipleship and community are at the heart of our ministry. We encourage every member to be part of a Connection Group for mutual encouragement, accountability, and growth in Christlikeness. Our gospel shepherding and biblical counseling ministries help people apply the truth of Scripture to life’s challenges, providing hope and restoration through the gospel.

Veritas is committed to reaching the next generation through our children’s ministry, student ministry, and The Salt Company, our college ministry that engages hundreds of university students with the good news of Jesus. We actively seek to equip students to live faithfully on their campuses and to be sent as lifelong disciple-makers wherever God leads them.

Through preaching, teaching, discipleship, counseling, outreach, and missions, Veritas Church seeks to glorify God by making disciples of Jesus who love Him deeply, live in authentic community, and carry His gospel into a lost and broken world.
