One billion people around the world live with disability. For more than forty years, Joni and Friends has committed to reaching and serving these people with practical help and the saving love of Christ. Joni and Friends envisions a world where every person with a disability finds hope, dignity, and their place in the body of Christ. To bring this vision to life, Joni and Friends offers a variety of primary services and programs. • Through Wheels for the World™, Joni and Friends provides a custom-fitted wheelchairs, along with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, to people in developing nations who cannot otherwise access necessary mobility equipment. • In the U.S. and abroad, Joni and Friends holds Retreats & Getaways, multiple-day programs that offer respite, community, and hope to people living with disability. • The Joni and Friends Christian Institute on Disability is the leading authority on disability-related issues from a biblical perspective, offering higher education, ministry training, and public policy that promotes a biblical understanding of life, human dignity, and the value of all individuals. • Joni’s House is an international disability center located in some of the poorest areas of the world to serve families living with disability. Through local church, community, and government partners, Joni and Friends is providing medical and mobility support, patient advocacy, essential resources, and spiritual care to families living with disability. • The Joni and Friends Internship Program equips students to become leaders in disability ministry in order to transform lives through the Gospel, impact their churches and communities for Christ, and advocate for justice, freedom, and equality for people with disabilities. • Joni and Friends respite programs meet the top unmet need for families living with disability: the need for respite care. Respite at Home and Halftime Respite give parents and caregivers time away from the demands of disability while their loved one needing care enjoys time with trained staff, volunteers, and nursing school interns.

Our mission is to communicate the Gospel and equip Christ-honoring churches worldwide to evangelize and disciple people affected by disability. A nonprofit organization, Joni and Friends shows God's love in a practical way through programs such as: Wheels for the World, Family Retreats, the Christian Institute on Disability and more. Joni and Friends gives practical help, strengthens families and offers education and training in disability ministry all while presenting the Gospel of Christ.
