IDES exists to meet physical and spiritual needs of suffering people throughout the world in the name of Jesus Christ. We connect with local Christian Churches and Churches of Christ as we serve in five main focus areas: Evangelism, Hunger Relief, Medical Care, Community Development , Disaster Response. Everything IDES does revolves around sharing the hope we have in Jesus Christ. Whether responding to disasters, relieving hunger and malnutrition, developing sustainable solutions for impoverished communities, or caring for those with medical needs - it is done in order to share the Gospel.

IDES continues to monitor Hurricane Dorian and has been in contact with a number of our partners along the east coast. We will give updates as we assess the needs of people affected by the hurricane. As we are tracking Dorian, IDES continues to work in Dayton, Ohio and our U.S. Disaster Response Coordinators are on site in the tornado affected areas where there will be shed building this week for those affected. Thank you for your continued prayers!
Imagine losing nearly everything you owned in a disaster. What happens next? Can anything be salvaged? What might keep your usable belongings secure? What would bring you some hope? To answer these questions, IDES developed the Shed-Building program for affected families to store belongings that can be salvaged after a disaster, and to equip the local church to reach out in the name of Jesus Christ. Your donation to Shed-Building or another of our projects brings hope to those in need.
