Neema Village (NV) Tanzania (formerly Neema House) was established in 2012 in Arusha, Tanzania as a baby rescue center for abandoned, orphaned and at-risk infants. NV is not only a 501C3 but also a registered NGO in Tanzania. NV accept babies as small as under 2 pounds and provides them with a loving and healthy environment until they can return them to an extended family member or find a forever family for them through the Adoption Program. As of June 2020, over 275 babies have been saved, 58 have been adopted, and 75 have returned to a family member. In 2017, it became Neema Village as it became obvious that single impoverished women also needed help, so the ministry was expanded. Recognizing the need for gender equality, impoverished single mothers and widows are now offered a training program called MAP (Mothers Against Poverty) whereby they can become self-sufficient through entrepreneurial training and grants to help them establish their own businesses. As of June 2020, ov

More than a hundred babies have been rescued and found a new family at Neema. We offer programs designed to help women better care for their babies, survive childbirth, find ways to supplement the family income, have better nutrition, lift widows from lives of neglect and abuse and impact the surrounding Maasai villages through water wells and medical care. Join us to make real and lasting change in Africa!
