Metropolitan District of the C&MA is a non-profit evangelical organization, functioning as a district of The C&MA. The district serves the churches and official workers in its geographic area of NJ and the metropolitan area of NYC and assists its churches to fulfill Jesus' command to make disciples. It promotes unity of faith in the fullness of Jesus Christ as Savior, Sanctifier, Healer and Coming King. It fulfills many C&MA administrative functions: The District licenses, ordains and consecrates official workers. The District gives oversight to developing and accredited churches in the C&MA. The district also gives oversight to leadership development/disciple making/church health ministries within its churches. It mobilizes its churches to accomplish the Great Commission by facilitating church planting and also by encouraging participation in the world wide C&MA missionary efforts. It encourages partnership development between churches and C&MA ministries in other countries.

Metropolitan District of the Christian and Missionary Alliance derives its mission from Acts 1:8 which teaches us to be engaged in the making of Christ-followers locally (here), regionally (there), and around the world (everywhere). The Metropolitan District serves all of New Jersey, the 5 boroughs of New York City, Long Island and Rockland, Orange, Putnam, and Westchester Counties of New York. The Metropolitan District serves over 100 churches with nearly 400 licensed workers.
