Ministry Description

Barry Wood Ministries (BWM) is a ministry on a mission. We have been active in missions since 1978. BWM is focused on leadership development in the third world. We develop third world Christians into national leaders; educate youth & churches in HIV-Aids awareness; evangelize through film ministries and Evangecube training; plant churches through discipleship/evangelism; lead mission projects - water wells, orphan relief and poverty programs; and equip indigenous missionaries to win their people to Christ in Uganda, Rwanda, Congo, Tanzania and Kenya. Most of our trained leaders live in the bush or smaller villages; living, going, and ministering where others seldom go.

Funds are needed to help provide buildings for new congregations to meet for worship. Up to $10,000 is needed for each new construction.
Portable Solar video equipment makes it possible to go into remote areas and show Jesus films and provide HIV education.
The Sukuma people live in near poverty and without clean water to drink, so many children die from sicknesses related to bad water and malaria. The village of Mwabayanda has a Christian community of 200 believers but had no place to worship and no water to drink except from small ponds that cattle and wild animals drink from. Since a well can cost $6000-$8000 to complete, every donation is helpful and needed.
