Lifeline Children's Services received its license to operate as a non-profit child-placing agency from the Alabama Department of Human Resources in September 1981. Since that time, Lifeline has placed hundreds of children for adoption both domestically and internationally. Lifeline Village, Lifeline's maternity and long-term care homes, was founded in 1984 to meet the needs of birthmothers by providing a stable and nurturing home environment. Lifeline seeks to make an investment in the lives of children, mothers in the wake of crisis, families wanting the blessing of a child and orphans around the globe needing the love and nurturing environment only a family can provide. Lifeline is a non-denominational, Christian ministry.
