Five Talents is a Christian organization that develops and runs micro-enterprise development programs in Africa, Asia and South America. We provide training that helps the poor start small businesses. Inspired by the Parable of the Talents and the call of Jesus to minister to the poor, Five Talents transforms lives through economic empowerment. Our vision is to eradicate extreme poverty by restoring human dignity and creating strong, sustainable communities. Working alongside churches, Five Talents helps families and communities learn to budget, save, invest, and develop sustainable businesses. Since 1998 we have worked in some of the poorest and most overlooked areas of the world. Currently, our ministries serve vulnerable communities in South Sudan, Burundi, DR Congo, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Bolivia, Indonesia and Myanmar. These ministries focus on literacy, numeracy, and business training - empowering the poor by creating hope and opportunity.

Five Talents empowers the poor in developing countries through micro-enterprise development, in short, starting their own small businesses. Working closely with local churches in some of the world’s poorest areas, we help women and men to identify, develop, and use their God-given talents for good. Donations of $85 to $500 enable one to six individuals to participate in one year of training and mentoring, to join a community savings group, and to develop their own sustainable businesses.
