Morning Star Development provides training and services to the Afghan people to empower individuals and transform communities. Our training and services can be categorized by one of the following four categories: 1) Medical, 2) Leadership Development, 3) Community Development, and 4) Diaspora.

Morning Star Development's sole focus for over 20 years is Afghanistan. During this crisis, we continue to train and support Afghans who live in Afghanistan. We also have Afghan resettlement programs in India, the USA and now in new places (Tajikistan). We work with whole Afghan families inside and outside of Afghanistan.
A woman's influence is the glue that binds family together. The Literacy and Basic Business Skills (LaBBs) is the training that equips her with skills that unleash her hidden potential to create and sustain meaningful income to prosper her family emotionally and economically. When women engage in income generation with dignity and courage dreams are unlocked, children receive education and life-giving transformation of communities flows. The empowerment of Afghan women means a hope and a future

The Institute for Leadership Development (ILD) brings best practices of servant-leadership principals from around the world in a one-year program taught by seasoned international instructors who themselves are noted leaders. We challenge young Afghan men and women to consider thei

New Life Women’s Center is a one-year drug rehabilitation program that seeks to redeem women from their destructive lifestyles and empower them by teaching skills and knowledge so they can be restored to their families and society. There is no long-term help available for these women, w
Afghanistan has the highest rate of infant mortality in the world. Morning Star is committed to saving mothers and babies and promoting life that brings health, joy and a future for all. The Birth Life Saving Skills (BLiSS) program is saving babies daily in the battle to end preventable, maternal, newborn and child mortality in Afghanistan. Where BLiSS is implemented we experience an 80% improvement in mother and baby health. The course is taught to men and women who become conduits of health a
Bridges Colorado operates in Colorado Springs and Denver, and exists to welcome, connect and empower the Afghan refugee and diaspora as they make the USA their new home. We have an unprecedented opportunity to welcome the stranger from the nations right here in our neighborhoods, and to do so in a way that offers dignity, hope and healing, and a future for the displaced, the refugee and the immigrant.
