Water Mission is a nonprofit Christian engineering organization that designs, builds, and implements safe water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) solutions for people in developing countries and disaster areas. Since 2001, Water Mission has used innovative technology and engineering expertise to provide access to safe water for more than 7 million people in 57 countries. Water Mission has over 400 staff members working in its headquarters and around the world in permanent country programs located in Africa, Asia, North, South, and Central America, and the Caribbean. Notably, Charity Navigator has awarded Water Mission its top four-star rating for 15 consecutive years, a distinction shared by only 1% of charities rated by the organization. .

Hurricane Eta brought extensive destruction across Honduras, affecting more than 1.8 million people and displacing nearly 60,000 from their homes. Approximately 38,000 residents are currently living in shelters. After any natural disaster, safe water is a critical need and an immediate priority for the survivors. Our disaster response teams are coordinating efforts to provide safe water to as many people as possible, as quickly as possible.
Water Mission will provide urgently needed safe water, sanitation, and hygiene solutions to under-resourced communities in developing nations. We are strategically situating trained staff that can assist communities in coronavirus-specific hygiene education, particularly in the promotion of preventive health practices such as handwashing. Our staff is well-equipped to help counter the spread of viruses in developing countries where medical facilities are often under-resourced and overrun.
