Peoria Rescue Ministries is a gospel-centered ministry of mercy that responds to the needs of the homeless & hurting of our community while sharing the hope for new life. Peoria Rescue Ministries has been serving the poor and those in need since 1955. Through our five areas of ministry, we provide food, shelter, clothing, counseling, pregnancy & parenting services, and recovery programs to the people of Central Illinois.

Peoria Rescue Ministries established the Barnabas Center to fulfill the need for biblical counseling. Clients who are mentally, emotionally and spiritually discouraged can openly share their fears, hurts and difficulties. Your financial support will help our clients here at Peoria Rescue Mission receive discerning biblical wisdom.
The Peoria Rescue Mission was founded in 1955 and exists to reach homeless and needy men with the gospel of Christ, while providing for their physical needs with food, clothing and shelter. An emergency shelter for women & children was established in 2018 at the Esther House facility.
For men who deal with issues related to addiction, abuse, homelessness, re-entry from prison, or challenging life choices, our long-term renewal programs offer the opportunity to heal and develop a positive life change. The EXCEL programs include Bible study & classes, chapel services, counseling, life skills development, outside church participation, and work therapy.
The Empower Life Center provides information and care in an effort to empower women and men to thrive in their pregnancy and parenting decisions. Empower Life Center is a ministry of Peoria Rescue Ministries. Peoria Rescue Ministries opened the Empower Life Center (formerly known as the Women's Pregnancy Center) in 1987 to minister to women experiencing unplanned pregnancy. Since its opening, Empower Life Center has expanded its services to better assist women and men from pregnancy to par
Our long-term residential renewal program offers hope for women who have experienced abuse, incarceration, addiction, homelessness, and/or emotional and spiritual wounds. The Esther House program is available for women and women with dependent children. The program includes Bible study & classes that address personal issues, chapel services, mentoring, life skills development, and outside church participation. Esther House was established in 2004 as a part of Peoria Rescue Ministries.
