Ministry Description

World Renew helps free families from poverty in 30 countries worldwide. Through relief aid, World Renew responds to disaster survivors with food, medicine, and volunteer assistance. Through community development World Renew trains families in agriculture, health, income earning, literacy, and leadership. Through education, World Renew helps people develop and enact their Christian perspective of poverty, hunger and justice. World Renew's mission is to help people transform themselves as God's image bearers to be self-sufficient, to meet their own needs and the needs of their neighbors. World Renew multiplies its efforts in partnership with 100 national Christian churches and agencies and is supported through voluntary contributions.

In poor communities around the world and in North America, World Renew works with local churches and organizations to bring about change. Our goal is complete community transformation to build up the Kingdom of God on earth.
When disasters strike in North America, World Renew is there. World Renew's Disaster Response Services volunteers (also known as "The Greenshirts") give of their time and talents to go to disaster sites, clear debris, assess needs, and rebuild homes.
Disaster Response Services lives out God’s love and shares hope with disaster-impacted communities in North America by joining in the restoration of the homes and lives of the most vulnerable survivors.

When disasters strike, World Renew is there. World Renew responds to crisis situations by providing emergency food, water, shelter, and supplies. World Renew also helps communities rebuild homes and restore livelihoods.
World Renew's Disaster Response Services (DRS) cleanup teams are equipped to remove downed trees, clean up flooded homes, and provide emotional and spiritual support to survivors in areas that are most affected by hurricanes. We work with partners to develop long-term recovery plans and address unmet needs and construction projects in affected areas. Thank you!
The strongest, most powerful typhoon ever to hit land battered the central Philippines on Friday, November 8, 2013. World Renew continues to respond in cooperation with its local partners and the international network the Integral Alliance.
