New Resource Summarizes State Charitable Solicitation Rules and COVID-19 Relief

Nonprofits that are subject to state charitable solicitation registration may be interested in a new survey resource provided by the National Association of State Charity Officers (NASCO).

The survey provides a helpful summary as of May 15, 2020 on the state laws governing registration of charities and includes updates on various changes and relief provided by states in response to the COVID-19 crisis.

Click here to access the full survey from NASCO.

According to NASCO, “This guide is intended for informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice. Since the regulatory landscape for registration often changes, we encourage users to consult individual states to confirm requirements or address any concerns. Please report any errors or omissions to NASCO@nasconet.org.”
