Purpose
The purpose of the ECFA Annual Accreditation Renewal is to assure that each member organization faithfully adheres to and complies with the ECFA Standards.
Procedure
To carry out the renewal efficiently, ECFA has divided the membership into two different renewal due dates: January 31 and July 31 of each year. The due date for each organization is dependent upon the fiscal year end of the member organization. Refer to the table below to determine the due date of your organization’s renewal.
If your organization’s fiscal year ends:

Renewal reminders are sent to each member approximately six weeks prior to the renewal due date to give ample time to complete of the renewal online and provide the necessary supporting documentation.
Once the renewal is submitted, ECFA staff review it for completeness and validation of compliance with ECFA’s Seven Standards of Responsible Stewardship. Staff will confirm the receipt and completion of documentation and will correspond with the renewal contact person if additional information is needed. When the renewal is approved, a formal letter of acknowledgement is sent confirming the completion of the review.
Any issue that may indicate a compliance violation that is unresolved at the staff level is presented to the ECFA Standards Advisory Committee for further review and recommendation.
Timely submission of the renewal form enhances the significance and value of your membership and is vital for the integrity of ECFA. Late fees may be assessed to members who are tardy in their submission of the renewal. If a renewal is not submitted, it will result in the termination of membership.
