The rebuilding will take a very long time and critical supplies are needed to sustain them through many months of very difficult living conditions. Your help is needed and very much appreciated. Eight Days of Hope
Eight Days of Hope is a non-profit organization that has successfully restored or rebuilt 2,760 homes following natural disasters since 2005. Volunteers from all 50 states and ten countries have worked over 1,067,425 hours during the first fifteen rebuilding events alone. In addition, our Rapid Response team has traveled to 19 different communities and has blessed 1,870 families within three days of the disaster!

Hurricane Michael was a category 4 storm—the strongest storm ever to hit the Florida Panhandle and third largest to hit the United States—that lasted from October 10 to October 11. The storm completely destroyed homes and businesses with 155 mph winds, flooding, and flying debris. Its damage also spread to areas of Alabama, Georgia, and the Carolinas.

Focus on the Family
Focus on the Family is partnering with Convoy of Hope who’s on-the-ground just outside the disaster area providing tangible help and spiritual support to victims of this storm. As part of this disaster relief effort, we are also offering our licensed Christian counselors absolutely free to victims of this disaster. Home School Legal Defense Association
Since 2000, the Home School Foundation has been assisting homeschooling families facing a natural disaster that has impacted their ability to homeschool. Your gift helps provide grants to qualified families, which may be used to replace schoolbooks and educational materials that have been destroyed, and to help meet emergency needs. In 2017, we assisted 88 homeschooling families affected by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. We are currently helping families affected by Hurricane Florence.

Prior to Hurricane Florence making landfall, IDES began reaching out to churches projected to be in the path of the storm, making sure they know we are here to support them. In the wake of the storm, IDES has deployed teams to help local churches create a response plan in their community. Shower trailers and other supplies are being provided to those displaced. MAP International
MAP's team has delivered 4,000 Disaster Health Kits to staging centers in Windsor, NC and Tabor City, NC. Crews distributed these kits to the thousands residing in hurricane shelters throughout the region in the first hours and days after the storm, and MAP will continue to deliver thousands more kits as needed. MAP's Disaster Health Kits provide essential health items to prevent the spread of disease. One kit will assist a person living in a shelter for one week.

The massive, deadly storm has dumped record-breaking rainfall on the Carolinas, resulting in catastrophic flooding. Samaritan's Purse North American Ministries will be helping homeowners recover from the devastating effects of Hurricane Florence.
