Dave Moja is the national director of Not-for-Profit Tax Services with CapinCrouse. Dave is dedicated to meeting client needs in the exempt organization tax arena through review of client returns, consulting engagements, training, and the compilation of our annual “Higher Education Tax Reporting Trends” project.
Dave has extensive experience in working with 501(c)(3), 501(c)(4), and 501(c)(6) organizations and related combinations of these entities. He has provided tax consulting services to more than 450 clients.
Dave is a member of the IRS's Advisory Committee on Tax Exempt and Government Entities (ACT), where he serves on the Exempt Organizations subcommittee. He also is the current chair of the Florida Institute of CPAs (FICPA) Mega CPE Conference Committee, and a member of the FICPA's annual Not-for-Profit Conference committee and the FSU Accounting Conference Committee.
John Van Drunen
John Van Drunen is ECFA executive vice president and general counsel with a bachelor of arts in accounting, magna cum laude, from Anderson University and a juris doctor from Regent University School of Law. His responsibilities at ECFA primarily relate to managing the compliance program and writing and speaking on technical nonprofit issues.
John has received many awards, including The Virginia Bar Association recognition for his pro bono work during his tenure as a law student. This work included working with nonprofit organizations and assisting low-income individuals by preparing their taxes through the IRS V.I.T.A. program.
