Ted Batson

As a certified public accountant and tax counsel, Ted advises exempt organizations of all sizes on a wide range of issues. This includes consulting on tax and employee benefit-related matters, representation before state and federal tax authorities, and assistance with firm audit or advisory engagements to formulate advice and counsel on important operating and tax issues. Ted also assists clients with general tax issues, unrelated business income, charitable solicitation, compensation planning and reporting, and missionary employment structures. Prior to joining CapinCrouse, Ted served as Executive Vice President of Professional Services at Renaissance Administration LLC.

 

 

John Van Drunen

John Van Drunen

John Van Drunen is ECFA executive vice president and general counsel with a bachelor of arts in accounting, magna cum laude, from Anderson University and a juris doctor from Regent University School of Law. His responsibilities at ECFA primarily relate to managing the compliance program and writing and speaking on technical nonprofit issues.

John has received many awards, including The Virginia Bar Association recognition for his pro bono work during his tenure as a law student. This work included working with nonprofit organizations and assisting low-income individuals by preparing their taxes through the IRS V.I.T.A. program.
