Ministry Description
Union Rescue Mission is a nonprofit Christian organization dedicated to serving people experiencing homeless in Southern California. Union Rescue Mission is the largest Rescue Mission of its kind in the United States. For 120-plus years we continue to provide services to all people without regard to race, creed, religion, or gender. We provide a variety of restoration and preventive programs and have become a nationally recognized leader in the successful treatment and rehabilitation of women, children, and men experiencing homelessness.

For 124 years, Union Rescue Mission (URM) has been committed to serve the homeless and low-income of Southern California, and is the largest comprehensive mission in the nation. We provide emergency services for the homeless and low-income women and children of Skid Row, Los Angeles. With our economy in trouble, URM greets families living at the poverty line who are directly affected by foreclosure and job loss. It is more vital now than ever before that we extend resources and support.
