Ministry Description
For over 45 years, KARM has been feeding the hungry, helping the needy and healing the wounds of lives shattered by homelessness, poverty, violence and despair. Our mission is to seek to rescue the poor and needy in the Knox area by providing recovery services in Jesus' name. By reaching out to hurting men, women and children in Jesus' name, we seek to renew lives. Major programs include overnight shelter for men and women; residential recovery for men, women and families, a community feeding program, and a residential program that includes case management, addiction counseling, job training and other training/counseling sessions for men, women and children.

ServantMatch®
Knox Area Rescue Ministries (KARM) provides rescue, recovery and restoration services in Jesus' name. Each day KARM's rescue services provides safe shelter for nearly 400 men, women and children and as many as 1,400 nourishing meals for the poor and hopeless in our area. But KARM is so much more than emergency shelter or a community kitchen. Our dedicated outreach staff and volunteers demonstrate the love and grace of Jesus to the hurting people who come in our doors each day.
