Ministry Description
The work of Good News Jail & Prison Ministry is to plant and build the church of Jesus Christ around the world. Our work takes us to places most would never consider – jails and prisons – where we are seeing God do amazing things in the hearts and lives of men, women and children behind bars. We believe the most effective tool for ministering to the needs of inmates and staff is the daily presence of a chaplain. The chaplain serves as evangelist, pastor, counselor, mentor and friend to those who are incarcerated and the staff who guard and protect them.

ServantMatch®
Take the Gospel to every corner of the world by adopting the outreach to inmates in a specific country. The highest any country costs is $50,000. Some countries need only an additional $1,000 to fund the entire ministry.
The Barnabas Fund was created to encourage struggling chaplains by providing a financial bridge for those who are experiencing difficulty reaching their financial goals. This is usually due either to lost funding or slower than anticipated development of additional funding. Please give today!
