Ministry Description
One Child Matters is a Christian missions organization that exists to see the children of developing nations, who live in poverty, experience transformation and wholeness through God's love. To accomplish this goal, the organization equips children in developing nations to reach their God-given potential by creating opportunities for spiritual, physical, social, mental and emotional development. One Child Matters is concerned about children who are hurting, because we not only believe in the words of Jesus, but also desire to obey them in bringing life to others.

The Cebu City Rescue and Rehabilitation Home involves a unique partnership of Christian organizations working to rescue children from commercial sex trade and provide the help and hope they need to move past the trauma.
Hurricanes, earthquakes, flooding, emergency medical care... All of these require immediate response - sometimes lifesaving measures. The Children's Crisis Fund allows Mission of Mercy to take the appropriate action without having to wait until the funds are raised. Gifts to this fund also aid in child evangelism efforts, training young mothers, repairing classrooms and assisting programs that are non sponsorship based or are undergoing a transition.
It's hard to be healthy in the harsh environment of poverty. The world of the poor is not "kid safe," and its children are at exceptional medical risk. When medical crises arise, poor families often lack access to medical facilities. Even when doctors and clinics are accessible, these families rarely have the resources to pay for treatment or medicines. Mission of Mercy's Medical Mercy program addresses this problem through health screening, childcare worker training and treatment.
Kenya is a country ravaged by AIDS. In the wake of this cruel disease, an overwhelming amount of innocent babies prove the victim. They are either orphaned by their ill mothers or are born with the virus themselves and then abandoned. The New Home in Nairobi, Kenya stands as a beacon of hope in the midst of this painful disaster.
