The primary purpose of Service Oriented Aviation Readiness (S.O.A.R.) is the training and education of missionary aviation mechanics and pilots. Through its curriculum, programs, and supervised-experience training, students are prepared and qualified for the progression of testing and certifications as governed by the Federal Aviation Administration (hereinafter "FAA"). A distinctive attribute of S.O.A.R. is that the organization leverages an energized local pilot population and community engaged at a municipal airport to continue a “pay-it-forward” philosophy through which many of the previous generation of pilots were taught to fly. After training, students are prepared to apply their skills for service-oriented purposes within a missionary aviation sending agency which is of particular importance and priority to S.O.A.R.

S.O.A.R. was started by following a desire to seek God's direction to combine a public-facing business as the FBO at the Bolivar Airport with the ministry-side of mission aviation training to serve the public in a way that can provide the needed experience for our students, yet help offset the high cost of training. Through its curriculum, programs, and supervised-experience training, students are prepared and qualified for the progression of testing and certifications.
