Ministry Description
Neema House Inc. is a 501C3 & registered NGO operating in Arusha, Tanzania, East Africa and was established in June of 2012. The project originally began as a home for abandoned, orphaned and at risk babies to receive care until adoption or reunification with extended family could be accomplished. As of June 2016, 106 babies have been cared for at Neema House Arusha. Understanding that abandoned and orphaned babies are not the problem, instead mothers who are poor and desperate are the problem, the program has been expanded to include the following projects: • Restoring hope to women through education, business opportunities, parenting skills, life skills, prenatal care and an innovative, home delivery technique for women who have been scarred by FGM (female circumcision). • Renewing dignity to AIDS widows through job opportunities, comfortable living quarters and adequate medical care.

More than a hundred babies have been rescued and found a new family at Neema. We offer programs designed to help women better care for their babies, survive childbirth, find ways to supplement the family income, have better nutrition, lift widows from lives of neglect and abuse and impact the surrounding Maasai villages through water wells and medical care. Join us to make real and lasting change in Africa!
