Ministry Description
Tilikum is a Christian summer camp and retreat center nestled among the hazelnut orchards and rolling hills of Newberg, Oregon. They are located only 45 minutes southwest of Portland and an hour northwest of Salem. Tilikum's mission is to be a place for: experiencing creation, building community, providing refuge, encountering God, and changing lives. Tilikum is an ideal location for group retreats, day-use planning sessions, and school or church outings. The pastoral setting includes 93 acres of woods, 15 acre lake, three miles of hiking trails, recreation building, challenge course, and a restored 1909 one-room school house. Their retreat center is a hotel-style lodge for up to 58 people and Northridge is a rustic facility for up to 56 people.

Your donation will help kids who can’t afford camp! $300 pays for one camper. 100% of your donation will go directly to our scholarship fund. Thank you for helping under-resourced kids, youth and adults get to camp!
Did you know that last summer Tilikum was able to welcome, teach and bless 2,500 campers with all kinds of summertime fun? The Fawver Center is the space where campers gather every day to sing and play together. We ask for you to prayerfully consider making a gift to “Finish the Fawver Center.” We are raising funds for improvements such as a new lakeside patio and campfire area, modern restrooms, a new roof, a wider driveway and a new walking path. Your support and prayers are appreciated!
Richard Foster and his family lived at Tilikum in the 1970’s when he wrote the book, Celebration of Discipline. From this connection to Tilikum, the idea came to develop a special place for Christian writers. The “Writers Cabin” can become a wonderful resource for serious writers. The budget for this project totals $34,000. This includes utilities, foundation, cabin and amenities. Please consider giving to this project.
