Light of the Village

Ministry Description
The Light of the Village is a hands-on, front-line Christian ministry located in one of Alabama's poorest and violent neighborhoods. Their mission is to share Christ's message of faith, hope and love to the inner-city through word and deed and in truth and love. Light of the Village builds relationships one at a time and meets people where they are in hopes to allow Christ to become a part of their lives. They have a private Christian school, summer and after-school programs and a gang intervention program.

GiverConnect™
We launched a workforce development and job placement component to our ministry. Consultants from Homeboy Industries travel to Alabama four times a year to share and encourage. If you would like to help us provide small stipends for our job trainees who are volunteering at our after-school program as well as with Habitat for Humanity and the City of Prichard, please donate today!
