Texas Generation One is a non-denominational ministry located in the Third Ward of Houston, Texas. They are committed to the spiritual growth and physical rebuilding of this impoverished area. The main objective of the ministry is the Next Generation. They focus a great deal of time, love, and education on the youth population by providing after school programs such as tutoring, sports programs, youth camps, counseling, help with college enrollment, and skills training. Another focus is to improve the overall quality of life for residents in the Third Ward. Texas Generation One's goal is to tear down dilapidated homes and abandoned buildings while rehabilitating existing homes. They will offer adult job training, counseling, tutoring, and skills training.

In recognizing the invaluable effects of having positive role models in one’s life, we desire to match every child in the community with a mentor! The goals for the mentors are to help their mentee develop and grow a relationship with Christ, encourage and assist in academic success, teach and practice goal setting, give exposure to new places and things in the city of Houston, be a positive role model and to of course have fun. Support this program by giving today!
Gen1 sewing and embroidery ministry offers classes to women in "the bottoms" of Houston's Third Ward to build their toolbox of marketable skills. Once trained, women are offered employment in a custom embroidery business. Students and employees of this ministry participate in leadership training and Bible study to strengthen their spiritual and vocational formation.
Generation One Academy (G1A) is a private, tuition-free, Christian school for "at risk" children. Approximately 95% of G1A students live at or below the poverty level and many are exposed daily to events that some adults would not understand how to process. To increase personal attention and foster success, class sizes are limited to twelve students and each has a teacher, aide and classroom volunteers. G1A provides students a nurturing learning environment in Pre-K3 through 5th grades.
