Lifesong for Orphans' mission is to "bring joy & purpose to orphans" by creating in-country solutions through ORPHAN CARE and by helping as many children become adopted into Christian families through ADOPTION GRANTS & LOANS. ADOPTION GRANTS & LOANS - "Adoptions Matching Grants" - remove the financial roadblock of adoption by offering matching grants which mobilizes the Body of Christ, and leverages funds to help bridge the financial gap. "Interest-Free Loans" - a tool to help couples overcome the initial 'cash flow crunch' of adoption expenses (utilizing Federal Adoption Tax Credit of $11,000). Funds become 'self-perpetuating' - where the loan repayments each month can begin to meet the current needs of new adopting families. ORPHAN CARE (India, Zambia, and Ukraine) - Many orphan children will never be adopted. LifeSong equips indigenous Christians to care for nearly 2,000 orphans in the 3 countries we are currently serving. Indigenous LifeSong staff serve in the orphanage/communities as Christian mentors (Constant Christian Presence), through Christian schools, job skill training, and Transitional Living Centers.
