Ministry Description
Founded in 1945, Memphis Union Mission exists to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and make disciples of Jesus Christ among the homeless and destitute. The Mission fulfills this purpose initially by providing food, housing, clothing, and hygiene care. The Mission continues the discipleship process through Bible studies, chapel services, and pastoral care. The Mission also operates residential programs for men, women, and women with children, which not only build disciples, but also help clients reach educational and vocational goals. Finally, clients are able to participate in the Mission's non-denominational church plant, Grace Church of Memphis.

Located near Shelby Forest, the Intact Homeless Family Program provides short-term transitional housing and Christ-centered counseling and encouragement for homeless families. You can help us minister to families through your financial support. You can also help by sponsoring families. This involves providing the families with encouragement, helping them with practical needs (especially during the holidays), and hosting parties or picnics for them.
