Ministry Description
For more than 3,000 years India's best kept secret has been the ongoing slavery of more than 250 million people known as the Untouchables - the oppressed - The Dalits. The Dalit Freedom Network (DFN) is a US-based ministry that seeks to empower Dalits in their quest for social, economic, and spiritual freedom. We work through a four-fold model of building schools and educating Dalit children, improving medical care, developing micro-economic programs, and raising awareness in the human rights sector. We work in association with organizations within India such as the All India Christian Council and Operation Mobilization India.
