Ministry Description
The mission of The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) is to prepare the nations of the world for the coming of Jesus Christ and the establishment of the Kingdom of God on earth. Founded in 1960 by Pat Robertson, CBN uses mass media to bring the message of Jesus Christ to people worldwide. Domestically, CBN produces a daily television program known as the 700 Club, which reaches 97% of U.S. households and is viewed daily by nearly one million viewers. Its website focuses on the 700 Club, CBN News, Superbook, CBN Radio, and spiritual life resources and hosts over 3.1 million unique user sessions each month. Internationally, CBN produces culturally relevant television programming using indigenous hosts. Programs are produced in over 30 languages and aired in more than 140 countries. In 2013, surveys estimated that 81 million people prayed with a CBN TV program host to receive Jesus as their Savior.

CBN's international regional centers minister to a variety of children's needs. These include educational support such as tutoring and mentoring, sponsoring school tuition, and donating school supplies as well as providing medical care and nutritious meals for those in need.
CBN provides disaster relief on two levels. 1) immediate relief including medical and health needs of the victims, food distribution, materials such as utensils, blankets, and hygiene-kits, and 2) long-term development where we help solve problems of food sources and livelihood. The strategic locations of our international regional centers worldwide make it possible for us to mobilize teams quickly and be a first-responder when disaster strikes around the globe.
Hurricane Harvey has brought untold suffering and destruction to the people of Texas. Our teams mobilize quickly and work alongside U.N. and other organizations, churches, and local community leaders to bring immediate relief: health care, food distribution, materials such as utensils, blankets, hygiene kits, and more. Please give to help the victims of Hurricane Harvey!
Since its inception in 1995, has been at the forefront of online ministry. With an average of 3.1 million monthly visitors, consistently ranks among the world's top Christian websites. utilizes streaming video technology, enabling users to email inspiring and life-changing stories to friends in need. includes internet-based television and radio, podcasts, a mobile site, a social network site, 45 social network pages, and 73 international ministry websites.
CBN's international regional centers conduct medical camps and clinics to provide free medical, dental, optical, and surgical services for the poor and needy who otherwise would receive no care at all. CBN utilizes its in-country staff who best know their country's needs and coordinate available resources to care for the poor. In addition to conducting medical camps in urban and rural communities, we provide life-changing surgeries such as cleft lip and palate, goiter, and cataract.
CBN promotes life skills training in conjunction with teaching trade skills and, in some cases, providing micro-enterprise grants or loans. These enable those in need to learn job skills they need to earn a living and have the money to buy simple tools and supplies to open their own small business. The goal is to move families, villages, and small communities to self-sufficiency.
CBN's Orphan's Promise provides food, clean water, housing, health care, education, job training and placement, and small business development assistance to orphans and vulnerable children around the world.
The Christian Broadcasting Network airs television programming in 147 countries and territories and in 31 different languages. The program content is often evangelistic magazine programs produced in the style of The 700 Club, plus youth music programs, animated children's Bible stories, and other high-quality entertainment programs. CBN uses indigenous hosts and language to communicate the gospel message in a culturally relevant way.
CBN has built 1316 wells, providing water for over 418,000 people. Much of the world's population doesn't have access to water and as a result they walk miles each day simply to get water for their families, forcing many to work fewer hours each day. Their income or food supply drops and they are subject to high infant mortality rates and debilitating disease. Access to clean water changes all this.
