Though several signed-language translation projects are underway, few Deaf communities have access to any Scriptures—and those that do have no more than a handful of simplified Bible stories.

In Nigeria, for the "F" people, literacy is more than an excuse: it is a barrier to the Word. The "F" New Testament is slated to release in 2010 but because of literacy problems , many will remain oblivious to God's story. This project will provide MegsVoices with the New Testament, an evangelistic message and Bible study instructions.

In 2002, after years of linguistic research and careful translation the New Testament was printed in Kouya. Civil wars have literacy within the country. Through this continuing project, churches in each of the 13 villages will receive three hand held MegaVoice players with a dramatized audio version of Luke and Acts.These recordings will allow many Kouyas-regardless of their ab ility to read- to connect with God's Word in a language they understand best.

In recent years, aviation-grade gasoline has skyrocketed in price and disappeared from many areas of the world—drastically hindering several JAARS-supported aviation programs. JAARS must transition to turbine engine aircraft which run on readily available Jet fuel. Our current priorities are two Pilatus PC-6;s for Indonesia and a Soloy Cessna 207 for Camerooon

In the last few years, Abidjan's power system has rapidly deteriorated. Unexpected power cuts often occur leaving projects and literacy work waiting until the power returns. You can help fund this project that will: allow people to work diespite power cuts, prevent loss of valuable data, protect equipment during outages or power surges.

"Great commission companies" encompass hundreds of professions and locations, and are united by one driving force: glorifying God and ministering to their communities. Yet most face the same prohibiting plight—lack of start-up capital.

In the Nai-Tanggu translation project, hundreds of pages remain untyped because national team lack computers. By partnering with JAARS, you can help provide 10 new computers for these Papua New Guinean teams including: two desktop computers, one conventional laptop, seven small, low-power laptops orAlphasmart Danas, five memory devices for backup and transfer. As a result, thousands of Papua New Guineans will receive God's Word more quickly in their own language

More than 400 languages echo across India. Today, God's Word is available in more than 130 Indian languages, translation is underway in about the same number but more than 160 have yet to be reached.By partnering with JAARS you can support Wycliffe india's fledgling information technology team. This project will provide software, computer equipment, training and troubleshooting to create a secure communications network for Wycliffe India

Fifty-three translation centers are currently operating throughout Africa—and due to a lack of funds and equipment, many are struggling without an adequate Internet connection.

Without the coordination, service and training that occur at the JAARS Center in Waxhaw, N.C., our support of Bible translation could not continue.

You can help provide the Jesus Film, a feature length movie based on the Gospel of Luke to the Dirasha people in southwest Ethiopia. The New Testament is currently being translated but a complete draft will take years. The Dirasha literacy rate is so low, the Jesus Film may be the only thing that speaks to them in their heart language.

More than 130 Cameroonian translators must rely on aging, faulty computers, making it nearly impossible to share and edit their translation work.This project will help fund up to date computers .

Scriptures have already been translated and printed for more than 170 language groups in Papua New Guinea. Yet without audio and visual versions, God's Word remains inaccessible for many people in these groups.

Unless Nigerian language workers are trained this year, translation teams throughout the country will soon have little help creating effective, Scripture-focused media tools.

For 30 years the Helio Courier has been the backbone of YAJASI's fleet for Bible translation. Now excessively high fuel costs and Maintenance costs threaten their continued service. The Pilatus PC-6 uses cheaper and available Jet fuel. With these aircraft the team can drastically reduce flight prices to continue serving Indonesia's most remote communities.

By partnering with JAARS, you can help provide radios, antennas, solar panels and other equipment to many of the BTA remote teams. These vital tools will allow teams to contact regional offices for translation assistance, travel arrangements, emergency help and shipment of food medicine and supplies. As a result, Bible literacy and health initiatives can flourish in Papua New Guinea's most remote communities.

Media specialists in Cameroon are diligently working to create effective, Scripture-focused media tools. Yet without adequate funding or equipment, the team must forgo dozens of crucial projects each year. This project will provide equipment and training for the National Language Media Services Department to produce culturally appropriate media.

Currently JAARS must ship Av-gas from Waxhaw, NC to Cameroon to keep the piston engine planes flying. The aviation program needs to begin transitioning to turbine engine aircraft which run on readily available and much cheaper jet fuel. By partnering with JAARS you can help provide a Soloy Cessna 207 that will travel faster and require less maintenance and speed Bible translation to hundreds of African communities.

Of the 400 languages in India, more than 160 still do not have any portion of God's Word in their mother tongue. By partnering with JAARS you can support the New Life Computer Institute(NLCI) which aims to provide technical support to more than 50 Indian translation projects.This project will provide workshops for translators with equipment, software and online services.With this support we can bring God's stirring message of hope more quickly to Indian communities.

In many areas of the world, traveling to and from remote locations can be time-consuming, stressful and extremely expensive. And during the last few years, transportation costs have soared, often creating an overwhelming financial burden for language workers. This fund helps supplement the missionaries and national workers cost for travel.

By partnering with JAARS, you can help provide a rugged four wheel drive vehicle, enabling the translation team to better support seven language programs. With reliable transportation they can offer on site training, monitor teams progress and get necessary items out to the translators.
