Tax Reform Clears Senate Hurdle

Congress has been working earnestly in the last several weeks on the most comprehensive changes to the U.S. tax code since 1986.

This legislation – the “Tax Cuts and Jobs Act” – cleared a critical hurdle late last week with approval by a close margin in the Senate. The Senate and House versions, with their respective differences, are now being reconciled into a signal piece of legislation to be presented to President Donald Trump for his signature.
