Ransom Ministries Accredited by National Financial Accountability Organization
MOBILE, AL – The ECFA (Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability) announced today the accreditation of Ransom Ministries of Mobile, AL.
ECFA accreditation is based on the ECFA Seven Standards of Responsible Stewardship™, including financial accountability, transparency, sound board governance and ethical fundraising.
Ransom Ministries joins a growing number of Christ-centered churches and ministries across America, supported by over 27 million donors that have earned the right to display the ECFA seal. When an organization is accredited by ECFA, it demonstrates its willingness to follow the model of biblical accountability.
“We are pleased to accredit a ministry committed to empower people to overcome spiritual, relational, and material poverty through knowing Jesus and serving others,” said Dan Busby, president of ECFA.
Founded in 2010, Ransom Ministries’ (www.RansomMinistries.com) current programs are Ransom Cafe, a donation only cafe that feeds people spiritually and physically; a Community Garden that provides fresh vegetables for African refugee families and the cafes; the Clean Machine- a laundry and shower trailer that is used for homeless ministry; Mission Teams that spend a week or weekend doing service projects with them; Ransom ReProgram, a scriptural based job training program that utilizes the Jobs for Life curriculum to help people obtain and keep meaningful employment; and Ransom on the Road, their food truck that allows them to go to people and show them the love of Christ through a warm meal. Ransom Ministries' motto is, "be Salt, be Light, be Jesus" and they try to do that through each of these programs.
