Calvary Baptist Church Certified by National Financial Accountability Organization
COLUMBUS, GA– The ECFA (Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability) announced today the certification of Calvary Baptist Church of Columbus, GA.
ECFA certification is based on the ECFA Seven Standards of Responsible Stewardship™, including financial accountability, transparency, sound board governance and ethical fundraising.
Calvary Baptist Church joins a growing number of Christ-centered churches and ministries across America, supported by over 27 million donors that have earned the right to display the ECFA seal. When an organization is certified by ECFA, it demonstrates its willingness to follow the model of biblical accountability.
“We are pleased to certify a church committed to reach their community and care for people from birth through life not just as a church, but through their school and retirement facilities established on their campus,” said Dan Busby, president of ECFA.
Founded in 1908, Calvary Baptist Church’s (www.calvaryministries.com) mission is to reach across the country and the globe to share the good news whether on short term mission trips, lifelong missionaries, and financial support. Their driving force is meeting people in their current life situation and showing them the love of Christ with the full hope that they will eventually accept Christ as their savior and follow him as a constantly growing and maturing Christian.
ECFA, founded in 1979, provides certification to leading Christian nonprofit organizations that faithfully demonstrate compliance with the ECFA Standards pertaining to financial accountability, fundraising and board governance.
